Theoretical framework jails
FEATURED PROJECT
Created a theoretical framework for the Police to improve the perception of the working and living climate of jails. With this theoretical framework, the Police want to be able to make a scientifically based contribution to improving the well-being of all those involved in jails.
This involves improving various spaces such as cells, corridors, kitchens, visiting rooms, family rooms, and air spaces with the goal of reducing unnecessary stress and contributing to well-being. Based on several basic theories (such as stress, overstimulation and understimulation) and basic needs (such as privacy, territory, security and control), the different spaces are examined and principles for a more humane environment are formulated.
